The Beginning
I've always had an interest in Minis and heard stories of my Mum's Mini Adventures over and over again! I decided to buy a Mini magazine one day and when I saw how cheap they were to repair and modify I decided that I had to have one. I spotted an advert for a Mini in my local Ad Trader. It was about an hour from where I live so I arranged to go and see it. Of course I made the mistake of falling in love with the first one which I saw and bought it for £550. Knowing what I know now I wouldn't have bought this particular car. However, I probably wouldn't have learnt so much about them if I hadn't! It doesn't look too bad in the original photo but trust me; the rust was lurking!

Work Carried Out
One of the first jobs was to change the brake discs and pads; as shown below. In addition the following parts were replaced during the initial ownership of the car: Door Mirrors, Sills, Brake Pipes, Gearbox Seal, Driveshaft Seals, Distributor Cap, Rotor Arm, Spark Plugs, Ignition Leads, Battery and Battery Terminals and the Alternator.
